Word study is officially starting this week. Please be sure to read the newsletter that was sent home today about possible activities that you and your child can be doing at home to practice working with words.
Your child will be meeting with me one day this week (and once per week for the rest of the year) to work on a list of words that is matched to his/her needs as a writer and speller. He/She will have a homework sheet that needs to be completed throughout the week and can choose from the activities listed on his/her homework sheet each night. Please be sure to sign the bottom of the sheet once the entire week’s worth of work (5 days) is completed.
